Hebrews In Early Europe?

Here is documentary evidence of the Hebrew connection with European civilization in early times. Included are ancient monuments, rare books, and first-hand accounts. Yet, this is only a small sample of the evidence that exists concerning the migrations of Israel in early times. Read "The Bible Story" and its accompanying articles for a fuller understanding of this important subject.

 

Scriptural Marks Of Israel. Dozens of Bible Verses in both the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, organized by subject, provide an understanding of the promised covenantal blessings given to Israel. What people(s) match all of the identifying marks?

Israel On Assyrian Monuments. Here, in the actual words of the ancient Assyrian kings, translated into literal English, are references to the Israelites. God’s people were called by the name Khumri, which was pronounced exactly as the modern word for the Celts, Cymry. Is there a connection?

Israel On A Persian Monument: The Behistun Rock, translated into English. A key name index is also added showing the connection between the Israelites and several early European tribes.

The Spartan Israelites. Famous early Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, as well as the Bible in the Apocrypha, state that the early Greek Spartans were Hebrews of the stock of Abraham. Here are reproduced both accounts.

Scottish Declaration Of Independence, signed at Arbroath, Scotland, in 1314 A.D., it dates the Scots back to the time of Moses, connecting them with the Scythians. Here is the complete text of this early famous document.

Origin Of The Anglo-Saxons. An extract of several pages from the greatest Anglo-Saxon historian, Sharon Turner. He states that the Saxons descended from the ancient Sacae (or Scythians) from Asia, whom we have identified as the descendants of Isaac.

Biblical Tribe Of Dan In Europe. One of the leading ethnologists of the 19th century was Robert G. Latham. Here is an extract from his famous respected study, Ethnology Of Europe, showing that the Greek and Irish Danaan were descended from the Biblical tribe of Dan.

Hebrew Connection With Gaul. A fascinating look at the Hebrew connection to the Gauls, or mound makers. This is an extract from Rev. Dr. Samuel Lysons 1865 study, “Our British Ancestors.”

The Chief Rabbis On The Lost Tribes Of Israel. In 1918 and 1950, the Chief Rabbis of the British Empire issued statements concerning the lost ten tribes. They state unequivocally that the Jews are descended only from the two tribes of the House of Judah, while the other ten tribes of Israel are still “lost.” Here is the interesting story.

The Pass Of Israel Through the Caucasus. In the 1930’s, an account was written by British Colonel R.G. Pearse, who traveled through the Dariel Pass, the actual route used by the Israelites on their journey from Assyria to Europe. Colonel Pearse’s own photos are included.
